Denim & Old Man's Baccy

Hi :)

So last week, while tying my boots to head to uni my jeans gave in and ripped on the leg. What to do? Cut them up and paint on them of course!! Ha ha.

I started using old demin jeans glued onto some hard board and dripping paint down over the material.

A copy of a watercolour study of old man's baccy in a vase that I painted last year caught my eye and so I started to work that image into the denim and dripped paint.

I really enjoyed making marks through the paint to reveal the darkness of the denim material.
