Reduction Lino print
These images show the design and preparation for my reduction lino.
I like to paint and sketch first and then think about how this can be translated into a lino print.
The painting in the very background is of lavender, painted in watercolour last summer in the house we rented - lovely summer memories!
The foreground image is the start of mark making to translate the image into a reduction lino, considering what might be the first cuts and how I might make later cuts for other colours.

This is the first print and first colour.
This print has been made into an edition and then the lino has been carved further for the next colour. I can't wait to print the next layer!!
