I started these paintings with ink, acrylic and charcoal last week, intending to only use black and white. To just look at the positive and negative images....

Blue crept in on day one.

These colours leapt in today! What can a girl do?

I wanted to add colours that confuse the viewer as to what the image might be. The source is of flowers but the result is something that is different, with colours that aren't quite of nature or what you would assume them to be. And why should they be. Isn't it only a guess, an optical illusion that we see colours the way that we do?
