Caroline Achaintre exhibition

I really enjoyed the mix of art work in this exhibition. The watercolour images I felt linked in well with the large wall hangings.

Hot-Hair 2004

The space in the gallery made me consider how work is appreciated by being hung well in a particular area. The large wall hangings were better observed from a distance to see the blend of colour and drew the observer in to look closer and closer, which again then was really good to see the texture.

A nice idea was that there was a template of work with the invigilator to allow children to have a good feel to hopefully allow them to resist touching the art work!! Ha ha, it worked with mine.
