3D Glitch Washington Arts Centre
17 Sept - 12 Nov 16
Today I went to see the 3D Glitch exhibition. This exhibition is a group exhibit with a few members of the Fine Art lecturing team from The University of Sunderland.
There was also a science art event on today for children and artists from the Glitch team were on hand to show the kids some virtual reality experiences.
James Hutchinson from The University of Sunderland was on hand to kindly show us around the exhibition.
The exhibition was mostly images made from 3D printers and was so interesting with passion and fun included in the making of the objects. One of the images was a half eaten custard cream biscuit, which in it's 3D printed form might have been hard to recognise. Another (first image shown) is a banana with apple pips in. Brand new fruit!
It was good to show children the different types of art that people can make.
I have included a couple of our (mine and the children's) favourites:

Polar bear

Bird
