This is just to write about what work I'm doing now and to review it really.

So as you know, over the Summer I have been really interested in looking at the shapes made by plants when doing a sun print. I am looking really at the negative shapes left and how this abstracts the image.

Since going back to Uni in September I have used cyanotype to explore this more. I have then embroidered into the cyanotypes to again look at the negative shapes and to further abstract the image.

My reason for this is because I am fascinated by the hidden beauty of a natural object that is looked at more closely and how much more interesting it can become when it is skewed out of vision.

I scanned my cyanotype image with the embroidery and then changed it to grayscale and bit mapped it on photoshop as I planned to do a screen print of it.

What I actually found that this image was really interesting to then paint. I painted over a painting that I did last year which left really interesting marks underneath the paint and then poured paint onto the image to create the marks and lines.

I have shown this image below. I have also included images of my studio at the moment to show the prints that have inspired my paintings.
