Awesome workshop at Uni today with wonderful teacher and animator Sheila Graber (who animated Paddington Bear by the way!!)

This was animation on your smart phone using an app called Stop Motion.

I think this would be a brilliant tool to use with groups of people who might want to do art but might not be very confident. This is a safe and easy way to work with fantastic results.

We used plastercine for our first animation, then a technique called smudge and click, then finally incorporated the 2 things.

I wasn't able to post a video on here but if you have a look at my Instagram page you'll see a couple of examples. https://www.instagram.com/kittybe_ll/

It would also be a good idea to have a look at Sheila's website for youtube videos of how to do this technique. http://www.graber-miller.com/

Here are some screen shots from Stop Motion. Don't forget to check out Instagram though.

One of these is by my 7 year old :) clever girl!
